Dr. Laura Rogers grew up in western Newfoundland and graduated from vet school in 1996. She practiced companion animal medicine in St. John’s & Stephenville until she returned to vet school in 2000 to do a residency in autonomic pathology.
After becoming a diplomat in autonomic pathology in 2004, she moved to Alberta, where she worked as a pathologist at a busy diagnostic laboratory. She returned to Newfoundland to work as a pathologist and administrator in the provincial lab until 2020. At that time, she transitioned back to clinical practice, working in emergency medicine at the VSCNL until the end of 2023.
Dr. Rogers is a proud mother of her son, one dog, and three cats. In her spare time, she enjoys walks with her dog and reading.
