Jonathan joined our team at KRAH in the summer of 2022, bringing 15 years of valuable experience in the veterinary field. With a passion for animal care, he finds his happiest moments in the treatment area, especially when monitoring our patients during surgery and ensuring they receive the best care possible.

Born and raised in Central Newfoundland, Jonathan now calls Paradise home, where he lives with his two special companions: Bowie, his playful 3-legged Pitbull, and Mazikeen, his spirited 3-legged Calico cat.

Jonathan’s compassion and expertise shine as he cares for all of your four-legged (or three-legged!) family members. He’s a vital part of our team and is dedicated to making every visit a positive experience for you and your pets!

What is your favorite animal and why?

Owls are my favorite animal because of their beauty and mystery. Their graceful presence and enigmatic nature never fail to captivate me. They truly embody the wonder of the natural world!
What is the most unusual pet you have cared for?

One of the most unique patients I’ve had the pleasure of caring for was a Sugar Glider. I was fascinated by the intricate operation performed and took great care in providing post-operative support to ensure the patient’s recovery. It was an unforgettable and rewarding experience!
What is your pet’s name, and how did you choose it?

My pet’s name is Bowie, inspired by the legendary “God of Rock,” David Bowie. The name perfectly captures his spirited and unique personality!
What inspired you to work in this industry?

My passion for animals and my interest in the medical side of veterinary care inspired me to pursue a career in this field. It’s incredibly rewarding to combine my love for animals with the opportunity to make a positive impact on their health and well-being.
What advancements in veterinary medicine are you excited about?

I’m particularly excited about the advancements in AI technology. Our lab already features innovative AI equipment that enhances diagnostics and patient care, and I’m eager to see how future developments will continue to transform and improve veterinary medicine.
