Kristin joined our team in the fall of 2024 and has quickly become an integral part of our clinic. A proud Newfoundlander from Carbonear, NL, Kristin brings enthusiasm, warmth, and a passion for animals to her role as a Client Services Representative.

Although this is her first position in veterinary medicine, Kristin has proven to be a natural, providing exceptional care and service to both our clients and their pets. Her love for animals shines through in everything she does, especially in her role as a devoted cat mom to her five cherished feline companions.

When she’s not welcoming clients with her friendly smile, Kristin can often be found in the treatment area, making sure our furry patients feel loved and comfortable. Whether it’s offering treats, giving cuddles, or helping with pee breaks, Kristin goes above and beyond to make every pet feel at home.

Outside of work, Kristin enjoys spending her time cycling, hiking, and sharing her love of comedy. Her sense of humor and infectious laughter bring positivity and joy to both our team and the clinic. We’re thrilled to have Kristin as part of our KRAH team!

Questions

What is your favorite animal and why?

While anyone who knows me might immediately say cats (and they’d be right—I have five!), I also have a special affection for the “misfits” of the animal world, particularly pigeons.
What is the most unusual animal you have cared for?

Pigeons hold a special place in my heart. Wounded birds have had a way of finding me ever since I was a child, and I’ve continued to care for them in my spare time.
What is your favorite part of working with animals?

Finally having a perfectly valid excuse to be perpetually covered in cat fur—it’s part of the job description, right?
What inspired you to work in this industry?

My grandparents played a huge role in fostering my love for animals from an early age. Their encouragement and example inspired me to pursue a career where I could make a difference in the lives of animals.
What advice would you give pet owners to ensure their pets lead happy, healthy lives?

Take the time to educate yourself about the behavior and psychology of your specific type of pet. Understanding their unique needs is key to ensuring they live the happiest and healthiest life possible!
