  • What’s your pet’s name, and why did you choose it?

My Beagle’s name is Touton, inspired by something unique to Newfoundland and Labrador. I’ve loved Beagles since high school and always wanted one of my own. Their pudgy appearance and coloring reminded me of a pan-fried touton smothered in molasses, so when I finally got my Beagle, the name felt perfect.

  • What inspired you to work in this industry?

Growing up surrounded by both companion animals and livestock, I developed a deep love for all animals. With a family dog always by my side, I knew from an early age that working with animals was my calling. That passion has guided me to where I am today, helping pets and their families every day.

  • What advice would you give to pet owners to ensure their pets lead healthy lives?

I strongly recommend considering pet insurance when adopting a new puppy or kitten. As a pet owner myself, I know firsthand the peace of mind it brings. Pet insurance helps ensure you can choose the best possible treatment for your pet, especially during emergencies, without the added stress of unexpected costs. It’s an invaluable investment in their health and well-being.
