Questions
-
What’s the most unusual pet you have ever cared for?
A rodeo bull! It was such a unique and memorable experience to work with an animal of that size and strength—definitely a story I’ll never forget!
-
Can you share a pet care tip or trick that people might not know about?
If your senior cat “still acts like a kitten,” it might seem adorable, but it could be a sign of a thyroid issue. This warrants a check-up with your vet to ensure your cat’s health and well-being.
-
What’s the most rewarding aspect of your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is seeing a pet recover and thrive after a serious illness or complex surgery. Watching them return to good health and happiness is truly fulfilling.
-
What advancements in veterinary medicine are you most excited about?
I’m most excited about the innovative treatments now available for cats, particularly for FIP, diabetes, and heart disease. These advancements are transforming care and giving feline patients a brighter, healthier future.
-
What advice would you give to pet owners to ensure their pets lead healthy lives?
Bring your cat in for yearly exams and don’t ignore even the smallest changes in behaviour. Cats are masters at hiding illness, and catching potential issues early makes a big difference in providing effective care and ensuring their well-being.
