Amanda
CSR
Amanda has been a valued member of our team since graduating from the Veterinary Assistant Reception program in 2020. Her kind and nurturing nature, combined with her passion for helping both people and animals, makes her an essential part of our clinic.
Every day, Amanda brings a friendly smile to reception, eager to help clients, share stories, and support her coworkers. She’s also known for checking in on hospitalized patients and ensuring her team is well-fed and energized with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee.
At home, Amanda stays busy with her beloved 8-year-old Maltese/Bichon mix, Shelby, and Madeline her cat.

If you could communicate with animals, what’s the first thing you would ask them?
I’d start by asking, “How do you feel? Are you OK?” Understanding their thoughts and emotions would be an incredible way to ensure their comfort and well-being.

What’s your favorite part about working with animals?
Getting to see them every day and, of course, all the cuddles! Their love and affection make every day brighter and more rewarding.

Can you describe a funny or heartwarming moment you’ve experienced at the hospital?
Dr. Laura once brought me a tiny kitten in need of bottle-feeding, and I took her home to foster and care for her. Little did I know, I would fall completely in love with her! She’s now a cherished member of my family, and I’m so grateful for that special moment that brought us together.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is knowing I’m contributing to the love and care animals need. Helping them live healthier, happier lives brings so much joy and fulfillment to my work every day.

How do you approach difficult cases?
I handle difficult cases with patience and compassion, focusing on the pet’s well-being while supporting their family through the process. Thoughtful and empathetic care is always my priority.
